Google Search Console – Here Is To Know About a Structured Data Report
Google has recently introduced a new type of structured data to its extensive list of structured
data reports in Google Search Console. If you are using structured data set data on your
website, you will find the new report under the Enhancements section.
Last year, Google came up with a new search engine which only talks about surfaces datasets
for a particular purpose, i.e. research. To have content surfaced in this search engine, website
owners are now needed to use dataset structured data. In case, if you are not using structured
dataset data on your website, then obviously you won’t be able to see this report in your
Google Search Console. The report would not be relevant to you.
Now, what exactly is dataset structured data? It is used to assist Google to find data sets which
further make them qualify to appear in Google’s dataset search engine. Let’s ponder upon a few
examples which would qualify as a dataset comprises of:
● A file in a proprietary format that entails data
● A table or a CSV file with similar data
● An organized set of tables
● A selection of files that collectively comprises of some significant data set
● A structured object with data in another format that you may want to load into a specific
tool for processing
● Images hold in data
● Machine learning files like trained parameters or neural network structure definitions
In addition to it, Google also includes “anything that looks like a data set to you”. It is eligible for
data set markup.
